BIO

Andrea Brand is a multidisciplinary artist based in Kincardine, Ontario. She holds a Fine Art Diploma with Honours from Georgian College.

Working in drawing and painting, Andrea explores themes of belonging, identity, and our relationship to place. Her work considers how landscapes become intertwined with history, cultural narratives, and personal memory.

Informed by extensive backcountry canoe travel, she explores the land as both a physical and emotional experience using expressive mark making and layered surfaces.

Increasingly, her work turns to iconic Canadian imagery, examining our collective identity through the stories and symbols that connect us.
