BIO
Andrea Brand is a multidisciplinary artist based in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada.
She holds a Fine Art Diploma with Honours from Georgian College, and her work has recently been selected for exhibition with the Society of Canadian Artists.
Informed by extensive backcountry canoe travel, she explores the land as both a physical and emotional experience using expressive mark making and layered surfaces.
Working in drawing and painting, Andrea explores themes of belonging, identity, and our relationship to place. Her work considers how landscapes become intertwined with history, cultural narratives, and personal memory.
